Flatsicle Harp w/ Book & DVD - Blue Feature

  • Flatsicle Harp - Blue
  • Learn to Play Book & DVD
  • 26 strings
  • 11 Robinson sharping levers on the C, F and B strings
  • Bridge pins on all strings

Since 1972, the Harpsicle harp company has been proudly hand making harps right here in the USA. The Flatsicle Harp is well designed, sturdily built and has the correct string spacing which makes it an excellent selection for a first time harpist. Each harp is backed up by a full one year warranty.

Flatsicle Harps are identical to Sharpsicle Harps including the addition of bridge pins on all strings but with modified Robinson sharping levers on the C, F and B strings. This allows the harp to play in 8 different keys (C,G,D,F major and A,E,B,D minor) without retuning.

Not to be confused with Chinese imported "harps," Flatsicle Harps have the correct string spacing and maintain tune as soundly as any professional harp. Light and portable, Flatsicle Harps fit in the overhead storage bin or garment closet of most airliners. Even standing to play is possible with a Flatsicle Harp. Flatsicle Harps are so portable, they make chairs optional! These harps are made to order so please allow 4-8 weeks for processing. Harp orders may be changed or cancelled within the first week the order is placed at no charge. After one week, cancellations are subject to a 20% restocking fee.

Included with your harp is:

1) Mel Bay Harpsicle Harp Method, Book 1 (Book and DVD): The Harpsicle Harp method book is an excellent tool for learning to play the Harpsicle Harp or any size harp from the very beginning. The method contains lessons on the parts of the harp, tuning, stringing, and taking care of your instrument. Also included in the method are reading music, time signatures and counting, placing and bracketing, finger drills, and much more. There are also eighteen songs, starting from very easy and continuing to add to the music, as the student progresses. All songs have labeled notes, to help the students learn notes and fingering. A DVD compliments the book, and follows up the written instruct

Keyboard Dulcimer 36 Inch

Keyboard Dulcimer 36 Inch Reviews

Keyboard Dulcimer 36 Inch Feature

  • 36 inches long
  • 10 steel strings the 8 main strings
  • Made in India

36" long. This is not a Kentucky banjo. The case is integral to the instrument. 10 steel strings the 8 main steel strings are plucked or strummed with picks while depressing keys to change the notes. The main strings on a banjo are all tuned to the same note. It can be any note comfortable to the vocals. Then tune the sympathetic strings to a complimentary harmonic. Indian instruments are usually tuned for the vocals or the particular Raga or song being played. They are not limited to one tuning. An important note about Indian Banjo quality In general, the quality standards on Indian instruments usually focus on the functionality of the instrument. The esthetic quality is secondary; Indian instruments often sound better than they look.

The BulBul Tarang is the most striking example of this phenomenon. Marred finishes, dents, dings, surface imperfections and general blemishes are standard. We do sort through the shipments when they arrive and take the most blemished out of the first quality inventory. However, you should not expect an Indian Banjo to be un-marred.

Features:

Note: Whether you purchase an instrument on-line or from a physical store locally, it is recommended that you change the strings on your new instrument as soon as you receive it. The strings of an instrument both in a store or shipped to you are exposed to air and different environments prior to you receiving it. During this time the strings WILL oxidize, decreasing it's life expectancy and reducing the quality of it's sound. On occasion instruments may even arrive with a broken string, therefore, it is recommended that you purchase a replacement set of strings and consider changing your strings as soon as it arrives. Learning to change strings should be the first lesson learned when embarking on the journey of playing a new instrument.
